First Rain of The Season - A Fresh Start.

So this past weekend we experienced our first seasonal rain! And I have to say its my ultimate favourite! There’s just something about it that I simply love! Firstly I love the smell of rain and the calmness it brings and washes over me. Perfect to watch a movie in bed or simply read a book! Secondly I feel it almost “cleanses” the air (sounds so weird, but it really does! haha), it washes away all the dust in the air (which is great for me because it disintegrates my hay fever a bit lol) but not only that, for me it sets the scene for a new beginning that has begun! Washing away all of the negativity of the past and making  way for a fresh start.

Pleats and Stripes

 

This isn’t really an outfit for the rain, but I feel it depicted it quite nicely. The soft colour of the pink emphasising the soft droplets of our first seasonal rainfall and the bold colours of the stripes to depict what it symbolised to me.

I am in love with pleats! They are definitely this season must haves!!! They are just so girly and flirty at the same time! Dressed up or down they manage to make you look chic! (who doesn’t want to look chic right?). This season also speaks midi skirts! And Mr Price have a pretty good selection at the moment.

I managed to get my hands on this pleated midi skirt in dusty rose pink a while back and paired it with a striped crop top (also this season must haves!) and my favourite pair of black courts J just for a touch of something bold.

There's a Spring In My Step!

I have been craving warmer weather since winter began and now it has finally arrived! Even though I am a winter baby and suffer from the worst hay fever, I absolutely adore Spring and Summer! They happen to be my favourite seasons, not only for the warmer weather but for the beauty it symbolizes.

A time for blossoms to start blooming, and birds to start chirping again. The air smells fresh and everything around you just looks brighter! Spring for me, symbolizes the start of something new, something fresh, a new beginning.

I was lucky enough to reign in the new season and celebrate Spring from the most appropriate location… Sun City! I absolutely love it there! Its so peaceful and tranquil. The perfect place for relaxation and to appreciate the beauty that surrounds you.

My boyfriend took his Phantom Quadcopter with and got some pretty amazing footage and aerial shots of the Palace!

Mint Skirt - The Perfect Spring Colour.

This mint coloured hi-low skirt from Legit Fashions stood out as the perfect colour and clothing piece to symbolize Spring! Its so pretty, flowy and so me :)  !

 Its perfect to dress up, for an evening look as well as to dress down for some Summer time “chilling” by the pool. 

 I paired it with a black floral laced-cropped top from Mr Price, my favourite pair of black courts and black studded clutch.
