Shift Dress & Heels - Woolworths | Handbag & Watch - Michael

It’s
been a very long time since I have posted on my blog. There’s no real reason
for this and I cannot really put the blame on anybody except for myself. I
didn’t feel all that empowered anymore, or that my posts or content were good
enough. I kept comparing myself tot others and that was my downfall. I lost the
inspiration and drive because I didn’t feel good enough. I felt inferior to
others and not because they made me feel that way but because I let myself fell
that way. The truth is everybody’s path or success will be different, no two
people will progress the same way because we each grow in our own separate
ways. Sometimes we can be our own worst
enemies and I have had to learn that the only person that can stop oneself from
greatness is oneself. We are the only ones that can allow ourselves to feel
certain things, and if you choose to let things affect you in that way, then
you would be doing yourself a disfavour. Give yourself credit from time to
time. You are allowed to. There is nothing wrong with that.
Anyways,
enough babbling and onto today’s outfit.
I have
actually been looking for a shift dress for a while. And when I say “a while” I
mean a good year or two. I just could never find one that would flatter my body
or sit right on me. They all looked like potatoe sacks on me! That is until
Woolworths got these beautiful pieces in stock! They sit perfectly on my body.
The cut is just right that it flatters all the correct parts and the best part
is that it doesn’t look like a huge, baggy potatoe sack on me and it’s totally
inexpensive!
I
really love the pattern on this one and the fact that it is a classy,
sophisticated and stylish piece. It’s such an easy outfit for when you are in a
hurry and don’t have a lot of time to still plan what to wear. Just grab this
piece and throw it on. Because of the busy pattern I didn’t really accessorize
it with anything. Minimal is best with something so busy. Just pair it with a
pair of heels (I matched it with a navy pair which actually is visible in the
pattern. This just ties the outfit together, however, if you don’t have a navy
pair, a nude or tan pair would go just fine.) and you’re good to go! An easy
chic outfit without the fuss!
