As each year goes by lately, I have become less and less excited about my birthday. I guess it’s the reality of becoming “another year older” that kind of puts me off a little. The only thing that I really look forward to on my birthdays is my mom’s cooking of my favourite meals (as per requestJ ) and spending time with all the people with whom I love!  As the day approached, I was drenched with an overwhelming emotion of sadness on the realisation that I will be another year older. But alas, another year wiser ;)

The day started off on a good footing, with such a loving birthday message at 00:00 on the dot from my boyfriend! (He waited up patiently just so he could wish me J ) I was beyond spoilt by my love with a wonderful lunch treat and a stunning Michael Kors watch which I’ve had my eyes on for a long time now! Actually spoilt would be an injustice, I had been completely showered by love and gifts from him the entire week!

With many other spoils from family and friends, along with stunning messages received throughout the day, I had a pretty amazing and unforgettable day! J <3

Le Birthday Outfit And The Dusty Pink Coat!

I saw this beautiful dusty pink coat in Woolworths a couple of weeks ago. And it was on SALE with the LAST one and in MY size! There was no question as to whether or not I should buy it! I had planned to wait and wear it on my birthday. So with great will power and self -control I had managed to patiently wait it out until then! (It was one of the longest waits ever! As I normally wear any new items immediately after I purchase them!) But the wait was well worth it because the day of my birthday was overcast and quite windy (I was trying not to blow away with the wind!) with a slight drizzle in the afternoon!

I then completed the look with a loose pink bat-winged top, my favourite pair of  leather pants, my new black-heeled ankle boots and Colette Hayman quilted handbag. I also decided to wear my new fedora wide-brimmed felt hat from Cotton On which I had purchased recently as well and was waiting for a perfect time to wear it! I know it was a tad bit cloudy that day but it was my birthday so I had every right to dress up and feel pretty and chic J and I really loved how this look came together with a little bit of a boho-chic feel.

I hope everyone is having an awesome day and keeping warm in this sudden winter again. Until next time xxx

They Say You Never Forget Your First Time...

I have been wanting to do something like this for quite some time now. Following up and reading up about it from some of my favourite various icons. I was nervous, I had never done anything like this before and yet I was excited at the same time. I was overcome with an overwhelming waterfall of emotions. I don’t know why I had waited this long. I guess I was waiting for the “right time”. But what better time than now?! My birthday was coming up and I had just celebrated my anniversary with my boyfriend!

It’s everything I had ever dreamed about and more! There’s just something about it that makes it so special and intimate! I knew I would not ever forget such an experience! After continuous motivation and encouragement from friends and my boyfriend, I finally decided to do it! I finally decided to start my very OWN BLOG :D !!! And it’s true what they say… you will never forget your first time!!! ;)

So here’s to my first blog post! I have been dreaming of the day I can finally type that J

The felt hat!
It’s a staple accessory item that every girl should own! It’s so versatile! It goes with everything! And can easily dress up an outfit or dress it down depending on what look you are going for. It immediately “chic-ens” you!

I had been searching for one throughout winter! And when I finally came across this one from Foschini, I did not hesitate to purchase it! I have paired it with a black maxi skirt and striped cropped top with heeled tan leather boots, scarf and my beautiful Colette Hayman quilted handbag.

I am looking so forward to many more fashion-outfit posts that I have been wanting to share with all of you guys J
